Satellite Party - something I like about this - it is the sort of stuff I'd dance to 30 years ago. How did he get Nuno to join him? New direction for Bettencourt, although he has gone in many directions.

I like this song, but the video is good too. That's how I'd do rock - big, bold and flamboyant. If only I had the face, body, personality, hair and talent. I now work in IT. But it is never too late
Ever see that episode of The MIghty Boosh when they go to find the new sound? This must have been the inspiration for the priest outfits

I'm listening to the song Spectren by Radiohead, which was a candidate for the opening titles of the Bond film of the same name but was not chosen. The Song was considered "too dark" apparently. The more I listen to it, the more I think it is a masterpiece. I could only find the version on Youtube at first - which includes an edited song beginning to make it fit the sequence of the titles.
Tip: fast-forward 2 minutes into the video straight to the song.
But then I found it on 7digital.com in full 16-bit flac. If you like a bit of somber sweeping grandeur then check it out. It has an interesting time signature which caught me out at first because of the late snare drum hits.
Pretentious? Maybe, but it intruiges me. And the scene with the bullets and the girls is brilliant

Certainly has all the hallmarks of a good Bond theme. I did like the one they went with though. A couple of recent ones have been really terrible* so they appear to have had an embarrasssment of riches for Spectre.
*Chris Cornell: you know my name and Jack White/Alicia Keys: Another way to Die

Just been listening to (and looking at) this vid of Gary Barlow and Agnatha on Youtube. She’s still beautiful. In fact there’s an even greater magnetism about her. g.co/kgs/wa9pLz

In my view Shirley Bassey and Matt Monro were the originals. And Nancy Sinatra's You Only Live Twice is great too - in fact, Sinatra's song and From Russia With Love are my faves.

Back onto Toy by Yello. Probably my fave album of all time and certainly my most played. If you are buying, get the deluxe version. It has great extra tracks and a large Boris Blank 2nd disc. g.co/kgs/tgqAgR

I'm currently listening to Kate Bush - Ariel. Now that's an album I just could not get into initially, thinking it her weakest, but I persevered and by gum I now find it's one of her best.

Love: Da Capo, and then some Schubert string quartets, performed by the Diogenes Quartet. Headphones only at the moment whilst the sitting room is being reorganised.
