Start with Chelsea Girl. This is heavy avant gard gear. Do Chelsea girl. Then Desert Shore. Then if you feel really in the heroin addict mum bad enough to give some to your son so you don't have to Jack up alone mood , go for the Marble Index. It's music from an addict and its hopeless and it's different and its great. And it's influenced people from Andy Warhol to French and Saunders . If you're a music experience seeker and not a sheep you have to go through these tests. Nico is a test. The FALL is a test. Like Coltrane is a test and like Siouxsie and the Banshees first album is a test. 😁

Im gonna get some flak but I'm only being honest. It might seem even dafter a coming from a reggae liker. But I cannot abide blues music. Strange but true. I'd even rather have rap hah ! For some reason more than two blues songs sends me into instant shutdown. I worked never slag any musical form ( well maybe rap ) and I give blues the credit for kick starting nearly every rock n roll song and much more. But one bar from the delta and I'm away. Wierd . 😟

Wierd . 😟 That is weird. The blues is where my love of guitar came from. Robert Johnson, Son House, Bill Broonzy and all of those guys were just raw. I love how simple it can be. Guitar and a vocal and it can get you moving in time. Superb stuff. Maybe you just haven't heard the right stuff yet? A good medium dose of blues can be found on the Eric Clapton - Unplugged album in certain songs like , Malted Milk and Before you accuse me Give them a whirl Fantastic Album to play on the guitar too.

Don't get me wrong , I've listened to loads. From Dave Alexander to Stevie Ray Ray Vaughan. I've tried many times to stick with it but even Stevie Ray bores me after two tracks.

when i got back i sold my rickenbacker 330 and bought a strat, american of course i still think the rickenbacker is one of the nicest looking guitars ever made, its a shame my fat fingers couldn't get on with the small fret spacings.

BB King isnt really on my radar for the blues tbh. Hes got a couple of good songs but I like the deep blues.....typically quite slow, usually acoustic and raw.

That's ok, I just saw it in the picture and thought I'd check up on it. Glad it's doing the Job. Those Matsushita valves are pretty decent, I am sure you will like them.

A member on AoS recommended them to me. Not silly money too which I like, I didn't want to spend too much, I just want to have a play.

2D1B7F4C-AC73-4C2D-AE3C-804794CB5367 by Nathan Rose, on Flickr well very disappointed with my Tesla valves. Only 1 Chanel working, the other humming badly. Contacted the seller and he’s sending a replacement so not all bad. The Cure sounding very good indeed.

Moved to another era and no cat around... Ours never really bothered with the kit - when they were kittens they used to crawl around the back (when the amp wasn't on) but that's as far as its gone. He will look at the turntable sometimes but never bothers with it.

Not got Night Owl so I'm afraid I can't. I like it - my wife was in the front room and commented that it reminded her of Paul McCartney! Has Baker Street on which takes me back to listening to this in the bedroom I shared with my brother at the time (4 kids, 2 adults and only 3 bedrooms)
