Wow! 32 years old? That's incredible.
It speaks volumes about the integrity of the product, and the care you have taken with it. All due respect to you, Scotty.

No I don't think so I used a 'clip on' angle-poise spot lamp back in the day, but it went to the charity shop many years ago. That one looks great I have to say. I also feel again how 'timeless' the TD150/LP12 styling is. That LP12 looks great, the Basik Plus in good fettle suits it just fine (I'm intending to put some dosh where my gob is on this one, so not just an empty vibe) and the AT740 is a good 'un and a bit 'gentler' than the donor 540 I gather (soundbites on the German Lowbeats site), so a great match as the K18 used to be... I hate selling stuff so much, but I have some decks to move on before I can start collecting cast-off LP12 bits to make my own cobbled sample. I have a decent plinth so that's a start.

The best zombie film and the best soundtrack. That scene where the zombie fights the shark is ot od this world fir outright creepiness and weirdness. Very questionable animal welfare practices though I imagine. Probably got away with it by filming offshore.

One of my fave Sci fi films. The guy who plays the government official is marvelous.. This is the only film I've seen at the flicks where nobody got up for a piss. . .

Westie. A fault with the Audiomods arm developed where a loud earth hum was emitted when the arm was moved . I sent it back and even offered to buy a new loom if that's what was required. I even asked them to ensure they included postage in the charge. I got one e mail saying they'd look at it . I left it a week or two and contacted them to follow it up. Again thanking them and offering to pay whatever as long as it was fixed. No answer . Then the arm arrived without any contact or info. The only difference is that the earth lead which formally emerged from the tube and was attached to the outside with a screw has gone !So someone has obviously had a play with it. The earth fault though is still clearly and very loudly thriving ! 😠I realise I can't make demands on an eight year old arm but I'm not too impressed. I was perfectly polite and not demanding but the lack of communication and the end result gave me the impression that maybe someone couldn't be bothered or can't sort it. I can't say I'm impressed or that I'll be giving Audiomods any more custom. Why bother ? The Audio Origami rewired RB300 sounds just as good if not better to be honest. I'll probably just bin it now unless someone can solve it. I can't be arsed spending recorded post money back and forth to chance them getting it right. . I wasn't going to mention it as I'm not one to give bad press but seeing as you asked I owe you an explanation.

I might be missing something but I can't imagine the issue being anything other than a wiring fault and, if you're able to rewire arms, being anything other than an easy fix. Plenty of folk knocking about that can do this stuff if the alternative is the bin. I know someone if you don't...

Have you considered sending to Johnnie for a repair? He’s always responded quickly when I’ve asked him and his prices are really good for the time involved. A sorted Audiomods would probably fetch £350 upwards so there’s plenty left in it. I you don’t want any hassle, I’d be interested in buying it and getting it sent straight to Johnnie.

I ventured a message to Johnnie but he replied that he was taking it easy at that time as he was a bit under the weather. I might contact him again. Thanks for the offer , let me cool down first and I'll sort something.

Agreed that's why I didn't mention Johnnie, I had a similar response for a "not the run of the mill" arm too. It wasn't a make that he'd normally deal with but knowing his skills it would be well within his capability but he didn't want to take it on.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Taking time to cool off is a good call. Somehow I never manage that.

I'll leave it until Xmas is done then if you know someone or someone else does maybe I can get it sorted , cheers. I was disappointed big time when I turned on the phono amp and all I got was a big earth hum. I got the impression that someone just couldn't be arsed to be honest. It can't have been properly tested live after the so called repair as its all to obvious as soon as any power is put through it and it's hellish loud.

He’s done a couple of arms for me recently. The Atremiz about 3 weeks ago an da Rega a few months ago, not exactly sure of the date,
