Do you like ultra slim watches, Roy? I’ve never liked the look. Skagen spring to mind.

I like the Timex, I brought a couple of watches back from Cambodia, both purchased from AliExpress and not expensive (less than $20) I purchased a couple of Nato straps on ebay (James Bond ones, green and blue strips, and the black and grey stripped one) I'll ask Oli to post a couple of photos for me Ray.

A few recent acquisitions Well done on resurrecting this thread. Love the Sinn. I used to have a fair collection.. started in India when the internet was in its infancy and value wasn’t as transparent as it is today, but gradually sold things off and hardly even wear a watch these days. I do have a couple of very decent Omegas that need repairs - bit pricy to get sorted though!

Depending on the models they're certainly worth resurrecting, you might then rediscover your love of analogue timepieces! Having said that I let the side down a bit today but a summery watch worn with matching light knitware

I cannot seem to get on with automatic watches and those with batteries can be a pain, so I have gone with a Citizen Eco Drive "Blue Angels" radio controlled watch which suits me fine.

Yes you could say the dial is rather busy with this Citizen watch, but I have no trouble at all seeing what the time is by the white batons even from the quickest of glances.

Apologies, not a criticism just an observation. Do you use the chrono and dual time functions? I have a few eco-drives, quite a good system, certainly better than the two Seiko kinetics I had which both stopped working within five years

[/quote] These are my two Omegas in need of tlc The one with the stray small hand is the 1957 Speedmaster reissue. A modern version of the pre-moon speedy. The other with the missing crown is the ‘reduced’ Speedmaster. A smaller, automatic, version of the Moon watch. Probably going to cost near £400+ each to have them repaired and serviced.. but given the rocketing values in recent times probably worth doing.

What a fantastic concept. Swatch version of Speedmaster Moon watches. An OmegaSwatch collaboration £207.. but only available at swatch shops at the moment. Have you seen the videos of the queues to get these? Apparently a tooled up gang walked to the front of the queue at the Swatch shop in Camden (people had been queueing all night!) and said 'we're the head of the queue now!'. Police got involved and they only sold 3 watches that morning before the police advised them to close because they couldn't control the crowd. The three sold all appeared on ebay priced between £1400 and £2500! They're not limited and will eventually be available on line. To be honest I'd rather spend me money on a proper Omega than these toys.
