A seller on AOS has a few items for sale, including an Audioromy amp. I'd like to make a special offer and wondered if someone could pass my interest on.
Thanks.

Thanks for that, Antonio.
As there wasn't any offers forthcoming, (cross-forum cooperation isn't what it used to be) I had a look at the Wham and PFM. Luckily, the seller was advertising at PFM so I joined and contacted him.
I've been wanting one for years. They rarely are seen. Quite often the mains transformer will have got burnt-out and then they would just get discarded.
Anyway thanks for offering.

Thanks for that, Antonio. As there wasn't any offers forthcoming, (cross-forum cooperation isn't what it used to be) Might have been more to do with the fact that for most of the time your post was up everyone else was asleep in bed! If I'd seen it earlier then of course I would have offered to help as I suspect would Ollie, Geoff or any of the other AoS members on here.

Well there was activity, at the time and later, from 4 AOSers, if I remember correctly. Anyway, it's immaterial now. Joined PFM (not really the motive I would like to have for joining a forum, but...) and have had a reply from the seller. Ali T had one as he mentioned on AOS some years, but the mains transformer burnt out. I've read of the same happening to others. Always thought it looked neat:

I'd have helped no bother.
Yes, had one of those. Lasted a long time but was getting too warm and the varnish gradually melted out of the tranformers. Should be fine if run at 220v.
Still have a load of NOS 813's tucked away.
Drove my statics well and sounded good, not quite so good on the cone speakers I tried it with.

I know squat about electricity but a step down might be available, or a variac that’s suitable.

Airlink would make one, or a bucking transformer will do the job.

A new custom wind would be best.
