Done to death i know.....but humor me.
Ships sinking, you only have seconds to grab 6 albums from yer collection, before being marooned on a desert island.
Which 6 - And if possible explain why.?

Rolling Stones 'Sticky Fingers' Led Zep 2 Funkadelic You got the funk we got the funk Dire Straits 1st album ZZ Top First Album Steely Dan greatest hits 1972-1978 (or of you can't have a greatest hits I'll take 'Katy Lied')
Reason - I've been playing them all loads for the last 30 years and never get bored of them.

In no particular order:
Crass - Stations Of The Crass (the band and album that did more than any other to shape my outlook on life) Stiff Little Fingers - Go For It (the band that were my first big 'discovery') Half Man Half Biscuit - The Four Lads That Shook The Wirral (sunny afternoons in London beer gardens with my mates before gigs) Angelic Upstarts - 2,000,000 Voices (memories of intense, guttural live performances) The Damned - Black Album (punk theatre at it's best) Throbbing Gristle - D.OA. The Third And Final Report (art for art's sake - the band that turned me on to the intellectual potential of music)

A difficult choice for sure
1) Led Zep III 2) Sheryl Crow - the globe sessions 3) Nick Drake - way to blue 4) Queens of the stone age - songs for the deaf 5) Art Blakey - moanin' 6) Miles Davis - kind of blue
I will probably change my mind later

Jethro Tull - Minstrel in the Gallery Acoustic Alchemy - Arcanum Live Yes - Keys to Ascension KD Lang - Ingenue Pink Floyd - Pulse Genesis - Seconds Out
That was bloody difficult, going through all my music to find 6 albums knowing the ship was sinking.

The thing to do would be to be prepared for any sinking ocasion and record all ya fave tunes on to 6 cd's and take them.

Aye these !ists do tend to change, but at the moment.....
Sex Pistols - Never mind the Bollocks. Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell. Kate Bush - The Kick Inside. Alabama 3 - Exile on old Cold Harbour Lane. Frank Zappa - Thingfish. Grace Jones - Warm Leatherette.
I could easily add another 50.

1) Sgt Pepper - something for everyone on that album
2) Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers - not a bad track on that album
3) Guns N Roses - Appetite for destruction - Just an all out stunningly good album
4) Eric Clapton - Crossroads - 6 discs. Plenty of variation
5) The Beatles - Let it be - 'Dig a pony' is fantastic and so is 'one after 909'
6) The Who - Live at Leeds 3 discs of the best live band of all time (IMO)

I’m an atheist, so Sunday is just another day lol I'm an Athiest fundamentalist if there's such a thing. Religious promotion and indoctrination should be criminal offences. Public display of religious symbols and attire should similarly banned. Only my opinion of course.

Apart from KD Lang, I’d sooner stay with the ship than listen to any of that lot. Rock music just aint my thing. I find rock music so repetitive, I like some of it, but the rest no thanks, grew out of it a long time ago, same old same old.

Considering someone else has mentioned your comment, and I'm the only one to list KD Lang your comment must be aimed at my list. I really don't think of Acoustic Alchemy as rock but listen for yourself. I have nothing against you disliking rock, as I'm sure, classical fans have nothing against me for disliking their choice.
