That’s a great resource for anyone who is fancying Grados. I’ve been only had SR60, SR80 and RS2e, as well as heading GS1000, but the write ups seem pretty accurate.

Andrew,
Does the Grado sound remind you of any particular speaker?

Andrew, Does the Grado sound remind you of any particular speaker? S. Probs closest to Snell. No overhang, no rose tinting and snappy. Maybe a bit of Neat in there too.

Might think about getting the SR225e by end of year. Most folks say they are the sweet spot of the prestige range.

Dont........Save your dosh and buy decent cans.
Try planer magnetics.....
They dig deeper than any Grado, make em seem very brash indeed.......Grado no Finesse.

I can see the attraction of the Audeze. I tried the more expensive version of LCd2. Very sumptuous and I think less fatiguing than most. Downside was it sounded less detailed than the grados to me. I could probably live with it, except for the weight. They are lovely things though

For me - Grado & Sennheiser. No more no less.
Each to their own.
