Just wondering what you guys listen too when you’re in a mellow mood? I’m just listening to “Cool Imagination” by Paul Desmond, it’s hitting the spot!

Unless you count Jazz I haven't got much chill out music. Sade maybe, or later period 'Dan.
Jazz-wise I do like Pat Metheney, he's done some great stuff over the years and it's all superbly produced, even the live albums. And it's mostly melodic and 'sumptuous' sounding. Sound you can bask in. Or for something even more mellow, Bill Evan's Trio 'Waltz For Debbie' takes some beating.

I must be one of the least musically aware people in hifi. I just don’t listen to any sources that are likely to expand my tastes. I got Spotify to try and hear more music. I used it once anencephaly got bored,

I am bad for that too. I had a couple of pals back in the '90s who introduced me to all sorts of stuff beyond the staples (Hendrix, Zep, 'Dan, 'Sabbath) and they both had quite different tastes so I got a good cross-section.
But since they passed on the only thing I've got into on my own is jazz and a bit of big band. One thing I've learnt so far is that Jazz alone as a genre would take several lifetimes to explore in detail, even with Spotify. And even if you didn't have other stuff to do, like earning a living.
Mostly I listen to the stuff I listened to in my late teens and early twenties. Last thing I had on was 'Third Stage' by Boston. From 1986 I think. Not making any apologies for it. Last new release I bought was Daft Punk 'Random Access Memories', and that must be a couple of years ago since that came out. Bought it blind, but I do quite like it. But generally speaking my collection stops at around 1996.

Anencephaly! Been reading the dictionary again Westie? I do find Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze very relaxing.

Is mad, crazy Ipad! the number of times it “corrects” my words and turns them into something obscure is unreal Most annoying of all is that it repeatedly changes “is” to “isn’t”, “and” to “Andy” and “be” to “Ben”. It also seems to like small countries, because “Moldova” keeps making an appearance! This is what you get from the latest generation iPads. My older one just let me choose my words, but this new “feature” is obviously just what I needed.....even if I didn’t realise it.

Apart from the first two and the last one, I haven’t heard of them. My spell checker needs to be on because I’ve become attuned to it auto correcting missing apostrophes and capital I etc. It’s still churning out the daftness though. Another regular is to turn “interest” into “interstellar”. It seems to love using words you’d never normally find in any normal text.

I wouldn't call the music I relax to as "relaxing", rather eclectic tastes in fact. My current fave album at the moment is Antonio Forcione's "Live" which I cosh rather heavily, sometimes playing it two or three times in a row
Bliss "Quiet Letters" for the recording quality. Chris Izaak. Yello. Loreena McKennit. Midnight Oil. Dire Straits. Neil Diamond. Derrin Nauendorf (Awful singer, good guitar player) Roger Waters. Jeff Buckley. Willy De Ville. Anahata. Dave Brubeck. Joan Armatrading.

Hmm. I don't really do 'mellow'.
Nearest I get is a bit of ambient or dub.

I’ve watched Antonio Forcione on YouTube. His playing is a bit too staccato for me. I wonder if hearing without seeing him might make his music more enjoyable, All that jerking around kinda distracts me.
