Someone got a bargain.. and is in for a treat Yeah, TBF..I probably should have put them up for £4k, but with the sale of the speakers and the 686 I have enough now to buy another pair of TG speakers, and it's also going to get some more of Jason's work out there, so I am very happy with the overall outcome.

Didn’t mean to suggest you undersold them. It’s win win really.

My biggest hifi expenditure by miles Steve , I was about to buy some Mowgan speakers but gave up on the seller of those which is how I ended up buying these ( it helps that Oli is a top man too ) . I really can’t wait to get them home .
Cheers

When you combine the quality of the drivers/ triple c wiring/ top quality cross over components and combine all that with Jason’s skills at building it all together you have a bit of kit that really really would cost multiples to have.

we going to see some pics of them in their new home? Sorry, I hadn’t seen this Oh yes. They look majestic. Funnily enough last weekend I remembered to hook up my tv to my Aqvox dac via optical. This having no room for the Arcam 250 anymore. Didn’t used to be able to do this as the Denafrips introduced a slight delay and out of sync sound. Now it’s great. I sat with my son and watched Rebel Moon. The bass in the soundtrack nearly blew the bloody doors off. We did have it rather loud. How do the Ektas compare Andy?

Well I had been using the Ruark crusader 2’s which to me sounded excellent though perhaps lacking in the bass which I’ve now noticed with the Ekta’s . I’m no bass junky though so I’m still trying to adjust whilst trying to avoid the Neighbours knocking ( again) . They have highlighted the fact that my amplification is lacking so I now have to look at upgrading that ( when I next have enough money) I was aware that this would be the case but my thinking was to have something that was undeniably the best I could get and then upgrade around that or them in this case . I was about to buy some Mowgan speakers but the seller was a dick and messed me around which is what lead me to buy these ( thankfully)

Smooth transaction adds to it all, that sense of an 'experience' in the positive - congrats!

Looking good Andy.
The bass response surprised me too, go noticeably lower than mine even though the TG are quite a bit smaller and have 50 percent fewer bass drivers.
