I thought they needed to be metallic. Being black would that marginally improve heat dissipation??
TBH I don’t really know what I am talking about 😄

They look outstanding. You don't know about the Beobloke 'Shiny Dustcap' rule though? No, should the phase plugs be REALLY shiny?! Solid copper ones are an option, but rather pricey... Beobloke rule is that any speaker with shiny dustcaps is no good. I can think of at least one exception that I own and yours are no doubt another - but as a general rule he's probably right,

These latest Vaders (CNO4s) have taken some time! An extensive house renovation meant that speaker building had been on hold. I have been busy working on a clone of my speakers... well, nearly a clone - they are lighter in colour and have copper foil caps on the tweeter. These will be running in for a week and then will be delivered, set up and tuned in their new owner's music room! Initial measurements show they measure really well and give a very similar frequency response at listening position to my speakers: I'm really pleased that they measure so similarly, especially considering they are in different locations. There is a small lift in the low bass (My rooms length mode is 27Hz), but that's how I like it tuned . The new pair will be bespoke tuned to their room and client preferences. They shall get 100+ hrs before delivery, but are already sounding rather good!

Like the light colour Don't yours also have a silver/chrome dust cap in the mids? That graph of the output is nice and clean so well done with the tuning of the room and speakers (Looks like the invasion of the Daleks )

Cheers, it's taken a lot of tuning and work to get the room on point. More Daleks coming soon!
