"it is good to just stop, breath and listen to the music and not get dragged into the minutiae." Except for my posts, this is the most sensible thing anyone has said on this forum 'Robbiegong', I was not meaning you actually sell up, it was just an example of a power amp to be used with a passive, Sansui was chosen since you own a Sansui, not only that I was able to have a little joke about the Neurochrome, unfortunately no one took the bait (you're a miserable bunch, but I guess you're learning) Apologies if I mislead you.

I'm looking forward to putting the BT2 up against my MFA Baby Reference V1, if it beats that then it looks like I'll be putting my hand in my pocket Again!!😟😟 That's assuming I also like the price and it's available in black.

V2 is £6120 + additional for options. My V1 has rrp of £5995, though its fitted with remote control Volume which is a £500 option, bought mine used @ less than 40% rrp.

Happy for you to have a go with it when it's ready. There is a bit of a queue forming, so i may make a thread for that specifically

No progress mate. Covid took over the family and then I have two weeks of work to make up on the phonostages. I'll get to it though.

No worries Olster, was curious and will stay tuned I've also been awaiting a development on the Avalon from Angus too. That's now confirmed as absolutely worthwhile and will need to incorporate that into the BT2. I'd rather just get it right off the bat, so decided to hold off a little bit. Should get some attention soon 👍

and you'll need to do a 'for loan' sample in black as well I only do silver mate. The black anodising doesnt finish right on the casework. It'll also add £200ish to the price

It'll also add £200ish to the price Robbing bastards! Yup. It's started out at £30. Then they said there was a coating on the silver (bare ALU) case that needed stripping first....went up to £90. Then they said they needed another chemical treatment to remove the process that they had to do to remove the first coating.... Up to £120 At this point I told them to bollocks and I was coming to get the casework. When I got there it was done and I paid £90 and wasn't overly pleased with the finish, but they said in future it's £175 due to all the process needed to get the stuff off that the Chinese put on it. They do work for Aston Martin and a few other big car names, so I thought they'd be good and to be fair when I'd polished the casework it did look bang tidy. However, with diesel costs and their costs it made it a £200 bill ...... I decided I didn't want the aggro so dropped the black casework idea.

I can only get this case in silver and the quality of it means I'm not swapping it. Uncompromising.....but unapologetic lol

Btw, if this thing is killer, it will be a shame in that regard, as silver box amongst all black kit is not ideal, might not be a deal breaker for some, but could be for others like myself - ah well, we'll see what occurs.

I get that Rob, but it the quality of the box that I won't sacrifice. It's by far the best case I have found, and it will match the Avalon. It was a deliberate design decision. If the colour is a deal breaker, I accept it. Ive made 2 BB3's a month since 03/2020. They've all been silver, except for one. Suggests that performance is more important than the colour to me 😉
